DJ SABAT
Irave - When did you get the love for electronic music?
Dj Sabat - Since I was around 15 years old, I started going out to nightclubs were they used ...
CJ Powell
Irave- Where were you raised?
CJ- I’m from a town called Port arched, Washington., it’s about a hour drive from Seattle. You can actually see Seattle from my house,  ...
A – it was at the age of 13 and I was out at this party and I was totally smashed with this type of music because it was new and that is was started my interest in electronic music and then I decided to become a dj.
I – so at what age did you actually start mixing
A – mixing I started at 13 and my first gig was at 15 at small clubs around Germany and I had my first love parade boat at 15.
I – who best inspires me
A – of course my record label at the moment, Paul van dyke, and I love the armin tracks of curse when I started djing I was a littlebit more in the minimal acid. Cooler stuff that was before you know minimal, techno, and acid then I was inspired by trance music and it was like armin, ferry its what inspired me to do trance music
I - you play in many city’s and country’s which one would you say is they best to play at
A – I do not want to say the best because every city has its own character and its own charisma. But the most exiting I played at was three weeks ago in Hawaii I dint expect people were that into electronic music but it was a very big party
Irave . Could you tell us a little more on your newest release Ferries countdown mix?
Ferry ah! Yes it’s basically a download bundle, like a mix that is played on the radio show “CORSTENS COUNTDOWN” which is with XM radio every Wednesday. It totally reflects what the show is about the show in the Firs couple of weeks of the month I will present ten new tracks and the fans Could go to my website after the show and vote for their favorite track and the rest of the shows of the month ill put the top ten together and that would be the download bundle its basically a rundown of the most popular tracks of the last couple of months.
Irave. When you go onstage do you still get the jitters as you did the first time?
Ferry. It depends were at really..It was like a mixture of scared and Excitement and now its more like am really exited like I want to go on! Sometimes the bigger venue is sometimes easier to play than smaller ones with a couple hundred people, now playing in a bigger venue with a couple thousand people the intimacy is completely gone but when the people are right in front of you then it's so intimidating.
Irave. What advice could you give dj aspiring to be producers?
Ferry. You know as a dj you really get lots of experience on the dance floor by knowing what the people want to hear and theirs trick to all the sudden make your records explode or the dance floor goes crazy. The thing that you learn as a dj and producing you can really use that knowledge in street life. But as a producer I use something that I like, that I can put out because if I try to make something that I do not like it would never come across as good because I did not put my heart & soul into it. So my basic advice could be to stick to your guns really and do what you like and do what you should do no matter what people around you say. Do as much as you can and experiment with different music.
Irave. European music culture is very different with the US where do you see electronic music going here in the us
